When learning new vocabulary, most/some of our students can't memorize all the words at once and when we get back to the first words we've practised, it takes time for them to remember them (if they do at all). And of course, there are words that are for some mysterious reasons extra difficult to remember (even for generations of students). In my experience words like eraser, caterpillar, butter, cornflakes, owl, autumn… are some of those words. But don't sweat about it – there's a simple solution to it. Prepared by Irena Baždar

First graders are so cute, especially in the very early stages of learning a new language, aren't they?
Before we practiced „Hello!-What's your name?-How are you today?“ in short conversations, we reinforced the key vocabulary first. Let's take a look and see how they managed!

I always like to start things with a game and paper ball handball is a pretty good start. Before jumping onto Uncle Phil's Pet Shop unit, we revised all the animals' names we could think of. Prepared by Irena Baždar

„She is a boy and he is a girl!“ …hmmmm, well, I don't think so. I think it's fairly common for our students to mix these two up. Right? That's why, when doing this unit, I always prepare some extra activities for them. Prepared by: Irena Baždar
